2026 National AI Summit - Sold Out

Applied AI: Empowering Learning Communities and Workforce

Event Dates: October 14-16, 2026 (Wednesday–Friday)
Location: Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Chandler, Arizona

Presented by the Maricopa Community Colleges and hosted at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC), this three-day event will highlight:

  • Keynotes by national and state AI leaders (including industry, academic, and public policymakers' voices)

  • Interactive workshops and panels

  • A Student Innovation Showcase featuring community college and high school students

  • Networking receptions, including a signature opening at CGCC

Guided by the theme “Applied AI: Empowering Learning Communities and Workforce,” the summit will feature three tracks—Faculty & Student, Industry, and Government—highlighting best practices in AI education, real-world applications, and workforce development strategies.

Attendees will hear from industry leaders driving AI transformation, educators sharing innovative teaching approaches, and government partners supporting AI policy and workforce initiatives, with hands-on sessions and networking opportunities that foster collaboration across sectors.

Faculty Travel Stipend - Application Closed

NAAIC is committed to ensuring equitable access to high-impact learning and networking. To remove financial barriers for community college educators, we offer a $1,000 travel stipend to support their participation in the AI Summit.

To receive the stipend, applicants must:

• Be full-time faculty at a U.S. accredited community college

• Currently teach (or plan to teach) AI credit-bearing courses in the upcoming academic year

• Reside 100+ miles from the conference location

• Attend all days of the event

Timeline

‍Application deadline: July 15, 2026.

Acceptance notification: July 31, 2026.

Selected faculty must make their own travel arrangements. The stipend will be paid after the AI Summit, contingent on full attendance and participation.

The NAAIC AI Summit, hosted by Miami Dade College, is designed for faculty and administrators, industry practitioners and policymakers interested in building the U.S. AI workforce pipeline through community colleges. Powered by the National Science Foundation and Google.org, this national convening will be focused on strengthening the role of community colleges in AI workforce development.

Over two days, educators, industry leaders, and innovators came together to share insights, explore real-world applications of AI, and collaborate on building the workforce needed to power the next generation of technology.
