Grow with Google’s goal is to ensure that everyone can benefit from the opportunities created by AI. Unlocking AI’s potential requires regular use of generative AI and the right training. To support community colleges in meeting student and employer demand for AI skills, Grow with Google is making the following offerings available at no cost:

Google Career Essentials

Google AI Essentials

Foundational Concepts:

Introduces what AI is, explains key definitions, and illustrates common AI use cases for both individuals and organizations.

Flexible Learning:

Designed to be completed in under 10 hours, with self-paced modules developed and taught by Google employees.

Credential:

Learners earn a certificate upon completion, showcasing their new AI skills to employers.

Google Prompting Essentials

Effective Prompting:

Teaches learners how to instruct AI models by following five straightforward steps enabling them to generate accurate, relevant outputs.

Hands-On Exercises:

Includes guided practice on crafting prompts for text, images, and other generative AI tasks.

Fast, Practical Skill-Building:

Also part of the under-10-hour format and credentialed by Google.

Both Google Career Essentials courses are designed to help students build in-demand AI skills, accelerate their career growth, and demonstrate proficiency through a Google-issued credential.

Google Career Certificates

Google Career Certificates offer community college students a direct path to more than 1.8 million in-demand U.S. jobs without requiring a college degree or prior experience. Key details include:

Field-Specific AI Content:

Each certificate program (cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing & e-commerce, IT support, project management, and UX design) integrates AI-focused modules so learners gain practical, role-specific AI skills.

Hands-On Curriculum:

Developed and taught by Google employees, these certificates combine video tutorials, real-world projects, and assessments to build marketable skills.

Time-to-Completion:

Designed for three to six months of part-time study, allowing students to learn on their own schedule.

Proven Impact:

Since launch, over 250,000 Americans have completed Google Career Certificates, unlocking new opportunities in tech and beyond.

Microsoft has partnered with NAAIC to ensure that faculty feel confident teaching AI concepts and leading hands-on workshops, and community college administrators learn how to leverage Generative AI. Highlights include:

AI Bootcamps:

No-cost, immersive train-the-trainer sessions designed to prepare instructors for the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification.These bootcamps cover:

Core AI concepts within the Azure ecosystem

Best practices for designing AI lab exercises and grading rubrics

Strategies for integrating Microsoft Learn resources into course syllabi

Generative AI Training:

Introductory sessions for community college faculty and staff to the essentials of Generative AI and Microsoft Copilot. The sessions cover how AI works, ethical use, effective prompting, and practical applications, providing hands-on guidance for integrating these tools.

Ongoing Support:
