About This Learning Activity

Generative AI is rapidly reshaping higher education, presenting both unique challenges and transformative opportunities in the classroom. This blended module is designed to help college faculty and academic staff move from AI anxiety to pedagogical agency.

Participants will explore key issues facing higher education today—including academic integrity, transparency, and student trust. Through actionable strategies, you will learn how to guide students in using AI responsibly, nurture critical thinking, and build modern classroom practices that prepare students for an AI-integrated professional world.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of this module, college faculty and staff will be able to:

  • Address Key Educational Challenges: Identify and navigate core issues surrounding AI in academia, including transparency, trust, and institutional integrity.
  • Implement Responsible AI Pedagogy: Apply practical classroom strategies that encourage ethical and responsible AI usage among students.
  • Build Critical Evaluation Skills: Support students in developing essential verification and critical thinking habits when interacting with AI tools.
  • Integrate AI with Confidence: Develop clear, practical approaches to thoughtfully incorporate generative AI into your teaching practices and course design.
