This 60-minute webinar explores the growing market for Super Bowl and major sporting event tickets, and demonstrates how AI-assisted development tools like IBM Bob can be used to rapidly prototype a smart ticket-tracking application. Attendees will get a quick primer on ticket pricing trends and marketplace dynamics, followed by a live, hands-on coding demo where a price tracker is built from scratch using natural language prompts. The session closes with a discussion on responsible development practices, including respecting marketplace terms of service when building tools that interact with ticket data.

What You’ll Learn

  • Understand the ticket marketplace landscape, including pricing trends, differences between official and resale channels, and common pain points that make tracking tools valuable.
  • Identify core features of a price-tracking application, such as price alerts, multi-source comparison, and fraud/suspicious listing detection.
  • Use IBM Bob to scaffold an application from natural language prompts.  
  • Iteratively add features to an existing codebase using AI assistance, including implementing logic like conditional alerts and flagging rules.
  • Debug and test AI-generated code, recognizing common issues and using Bob to help identify and resolve them.
  • Auto-generate documentation for a project using AI tools, improving handoff and maintainability.
  • Apply responsible development practices understanding the compliance risks of scraping live marketplace data and when to use mock/sample data instead.
