The National Applied AI Consortium (NAAIC) partnered with Intel and the Sustainable Living Lab to deliver the Intel AI Fluency for Professors professional development program. This 7-week, 14-hour training equipped community college faculty with foundational AI knowledge, practical skills, and strategies to integrate AI into their teaching.
Led by Kevin Rush, AI Trainer from Sustainable Living Lab, the program combined hands-on activities, discussions, and applied exercises to help participants strengthen their AI expertise, guide students in developing AI projects, and launch AI initiatives within their colleges aligned with the Intel AI for Workforce program.

Participants were required to attend at least six sessions, including the first and last, complete a final engagement exercise, and submit both a feedback survey and self-assessment.
This training advanced NAAIC’s mission to build a nationwide network of AI-ready faculty capable of leading applied AI education in community colleges.
