Partnership with CompTIA to Strengthen the AI Workforce Pipeline
NAAIC is proud to announce a strategic partnership with CompTIA, the global leader in vendor-neutral certifications. By merging NAAIC’s academic reach with CompTIA’s recognized credentials, industry-standard workforce insights, and scalable learning platforms, we are bridging the gap between the classroom and the evolving AI job market. This collaboration ensures that AI educators have the resources to provide industry-aligned training at a pivotal moment, as CompTIA expands its suite of AI-focused resources to support clear education-to-career pathways.
This collaboration also marks a landmark milestone for NAAIC with the launch of our first-ever K-12 initiative: CompTIA AI Educators Cohort, a fully funded training program for 100 high school educators. Selected participants will receive free, expert-led training to earn two premier credentials: CompTIA AI Essentials and CompTIA AI Prompting Essentials. Running from April 7 to May 29, this fully online, self-paced program empowers teachers to lead the AI revolution by seamlessly embedding these concepts into their existing curriculum.
“AI is quickly becoming a baseline skill across every career pathway,” said Mark Plunkett, executive vice president, sales and go-to-market strategy, CompTIA. “Educators are on the front lines of preparing students for meaningful employment opportunities. Together with our partners at NAAIC, we’re helping teachers bring real-world AI concepts into the classroom.”
Through this partnership, NAAIC is strategically expanding its support for high school educators, recognizing their essential role in preparing students for both college and their future careers. By equipping teachers with beginner-friendly AI tools and credentials, NAAIC is helping students develop practical skills such as AI prompting and automation earlier in their education.
Together, NAAIC and CompTIA are committed to ensuring educators and learners at every level have the tools, credentials, and insights needed to thrive in an AI-led future.
